LIGHTHOUSE REGIONAL ARTS’ “HIDDEN TREASURE” local art exhibition will be officially
opened by Tas. Regional Arts’ newly appointed Access & Tours Manager, Robin
Winter on Friday evening (24 Aug) and be open to the public from Monday 27 Aug
– Sat 1 Sept (see details below).
Lighthouse
Regional Arts will acquire one artwork, selected by two independent judges, for
the community collection.
The
‘winner’ will be announced at the opening on Friday evening, and the artist
with the most votes for Viewers’ Choice at the end of the exhibition, will be
awarded $100.
It
is hoped that this exhibition will travel the state as part of TRA’s 2012
touring program, providing an invaluable opportunity to promote our local
artists and this municipality, around the state.
The
24 artworks show a few of the treasures that are largely hidden from those
outside our community and they should encourage others to visit and see what’s
on offer!
